How to disable JavaScript in Firefox 23 and later?

What is JavaScript?

JavaScript is a object oriented Programming language, used to create dynamic and interactive features for webpages allowing you to calculations, validations, selections etc.

Why disable JavaScript?

1. Many websites disable right click on the webpage using JavaScript. You can enable it by disabling JavaScript.

2. If you are a web designer or developer you may want to see how your web page work without JavaScript.

3. You can also disable certain types of ads by disabling JavaScript.

How to disable JavaScript?

Step 1: Open the Firefox web browser and type about:config in the address bar.

Step 2: You will be greeted by a warning because we making advanced changes. Click I’ll be careful, I promise to proceed to next step.

Step 3: In the search bar, type javascript.enabled.

Step 4: Right-click the result named javascript.enabled, and click Toggle to set its value to falseJavaScript is now disabled.

To re-enable the JavaScript, follow the same procedure and set the value of  javascript.enabled to true.
